PHOTO VIDEO: The wait for a win continues, but a point from the ground is worth its weight in gold
Third-league newcomer FK ROBSTAV Přeštice did not score a victory even in Sunday’s match of the 8th round. He has not won four games in a row (three times in the ČFL and in the MOL Cup), but once he took away a very valuable point from the hot ground of Admira Prague, which leads the table of the competition and is the only one that has not yet lost in a single game. And that’s what counts.

In the 14th minute, Přeštice was put in the lead by stopper Václav Heger, who jumped on Martin Zeman’s fluffy cross and thus slightly caught the errant goalkeeper Admira Keller. However, in the 76th minute, sniper Zahálek equalized for the home team with a header after a corner kick. After a 1:1 draw, they were divided in the capital on Sunday. “We have to be humble, we have a good point from Admira, we’ll take it,” said Stanislav Purkart, the pilot of the Přestice boat, shortly after the end of the duel.

Still, he was sorry that there were not three bodies. He was slightly angered by the equalizing goal of the home striker Štěpán Zahálka. “Previously there, we survived an unbelievable chance from the home team, when after a long time luck was on our side, and then we get a goal from the penalty spot by a player we warned about before the match and we definitely should have watched him,” shrugged the coach.

“But overall I am satisfied. We played well until the 35th minute, we pissed off the home team and scored the leading goal. But then we fell out of the role, which stemmed from the fact that we didn’t keep the ball in front. The home team squeezed us, but they didn’t create a bigger opportunity,” Stanislav Purkart evaluated the course of the opening act.
After changing sides, however, the ČFL newcomer could not withstand the onslaught of the leading team in the table and finally capitulated once. “Although we improved in the second half in the sense that we were sometimes able to hold onto the ball and thereby relax a little, but offensively we were no longer dangerous at all. We were actually permanently under pressure from the home team, but apart from the big chance they didn’t give and the goal from the corner, we didn’t let Admira into anything,” added Purkart.
