Nancy, Le Mans, Bourg and Monaco won this Saturday, September 24 in Betclic ÉLITE.
It’s been more than five years since SLUC Nancy won in Betclic ÉLITE. This Saturday evening, for its big comeback in the division, Sylvain Lautié’s team beat Limoges CSP 87 to 78. Les Lorrains entered the game very well (26-15, 10′) before racing in head, thanks to their excellent collective (26 assists for 8 lost balls).
Jordan Loyd Power 41
At home, JL Bourg and Le Mans also won. The Bressans went down to -19 (29-48, 17′) before climbing back up little by little, thanks to a huge Jordan Loyd. The combo-guard scored 41 points including 18 in the last quarter. He gave the victory to his team 3 seconds from the end (93-90) before Axel Toupane equalized. As an extension, the Secular Youth ended up winning 102 to 99.
For the MSB, the evening was quieter. Elric Delord’s team was at +15 at the end of the first quarter (32-17) and had scored 63 points at the break. Matt Morgan feasted (27 points at 7/11 on shots in 28 minutes).
Finally, the big favorite of the season, AS Monaco got away with it in Nanterre. The locals still led 73 to 66 during the last quarter. But the Monegasque defense (11 points conceded in the last quarter) ended up making the difference, like Alpha Diallo who took the ball on the last action. Adrien Moerman (14 points and 10 rebounds) struggled for his return to the French championship.
