Lyon: Caqueret believes in the podium
Author of a good start to the championship (4 wins and 1 draw in the first 5 days), Olympique Lyonnais is experiencing a more complicated period after three consecutive defeats against Lorient (1-3), Monaco (1-2) and the PSG (0-1). Despite this bad patch, Lyon midfielder Maxence Caqueret (22 years old, 7 games in L1 this season) has no doubts and thinks that OL have the level to finish the season on the podium.
“We know how it goes … When we win, we are the best and when we lose the critics fuse, recalls the Gone in the daily Le Parisien. It is up to us, players as coach, to concentrate on our work and do much better. We have the squad to be at the top, to move up the rankings and be among the first three ministers. It’s only a matter of time, I think. We know that, we’re not not live up to expectations.”
Lyon will try to end their bad run after the international break. But the mission does not look easy with a trip to the Lens field on October 2. Fourth in the standings, the Lensois are still undefeated this season and formidable at home (4 wins in 4 games).
