Delta has announced its expansion to Europe, the Atlanta-Prague connection is missing from the list
The connection between Prague and New York will start almost a month earlier next year.
The airline company Delta Air Lines is preparing for the next summer season a further expansion of routes between the USA and Europe. For Prague Airport, the new flight schedule is a combination of good and bad news: Delta will maintain the seasonal route from Prague to New York next year, but the connection to Atlanta will not be renewed this year either.
News in the transatlantic connection was announced by Delta v Press Release. The carrier wants to pay for 8% more capacity in the summer season on flights across the Atlantic than this year. During the high season, it will offer 620 weekly flights to Europe to 32 cities.
The connection between Prague and JFK airport in New York is to start next year earlier than this year: as early as May 5. The route will be in operation every day, served by Boeing 767.
London’s Gatwick Airport and Switzerland’s Geneva with flights from New York are new to Delta’s list of destinations. From next year, the line from New York to Berlin will also return. Connections from Los Angeles to Paris and London will also be restored in the Delta network. They will use the new Airbus A330-900 on both.
From Atlanta, Delta will resume connections to Stuttgart, Germany, and Düsseldorf. The seemingly not very logical line from Stuttgart has a reason: Stuttgart-based Mercedes Benz and Porsche have their headquarters for the American market in Atlanta. The Atlanta-Edinburgh service will also return from May.
