ZURICH POP CON – At the beginning of October, Oerlikon is upside down! – News – OutNow
What works in Basel with «Fantasy» also works in Zurich. The Zurich Pop Con will take place on the weekend of October 1st and 2nd, 2022. We’ll take a little look.
On the first weekend in October, all of Zurich is dedicated to Pop Con. Gamers, cosplayers, merchandisers, e-athletes and tattoo fans spread out at the exhibition center in Oerlikon and offer everything a fan’s heart desires in seven (!) halls. From the Cosplay Village to the Action Zone to fine street food, there is something for every visitor.
The highlights of the fair are the appearances of larger film and game stars such as Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol (both known from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore), Vanesu Samunyai (from the Netflix series The Sandman) or viking– Fighter Lucy Martin. Also Tom Wlaschiha out stranger things will be on site. They are available for autographs, photos and even hold Q&A panels every Saturday and Sunday. You can see the exact times when it is the stars’ turn on the official website of the event.
In addition to the well-known faces, various well-known cosplayers from Germany and abroad have announced that they can present their passion to a large audience. They will also sit on the jury that will judge the big cosplay contest, which will of course take place on Saturday and Sunday.
Gamers have the opportunity to participate in tournaments (splatoon, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) try and prove yourself. In addition, Nintendo is prominently represented on site, VR gaming can be tested, escape rooms discovered and (particularly interesting) games from the past can be played in the retro corner. This is just a small glimpse of the choices we are offered. Fans shouldn’t be able to leave the hall anytime soon…
What are we waiting for? Mark the dates in bold on the calendar, organize tickets and immerse yourself in the colorful world of Zurich Pop Con.
