Emmanuelle, a 27-year-old woman from Reunion, originally from Tampon. Passionate about pastry, the young woman opened her business during the first confinement when all the bakeries in her neighborhood were closed.
“My first action was to make organic bread at 1€ solidarity for all the inhabitants of my neighborhood. Then, I shared my passion in an educational way by having the Creoles taste a pastry made from the sweetening power of local medicinal plants.“
Pastry without added sugar
In 2021, she unfortunately had to leave the island in order to be able to better refine her professional project. Emmanuel wants to open his own pastry food truck using only locals.
“The goal is to relearn people to eat pastries without added sugar and to promote local products. I live in a region where there are a lot of people from Reunion, I want to bring this local taste back to mainland France.“
Leetchi kitty
To realize this dream, the young woman needs funds. She decided to set up a Leetchi kitty in order to succeed in opening by the Christmas holidays.
“I would like to practice here for a year so that I can then have enough funds to put everything in a container and bring everything back to Reunion to start teaching again my slogan “good eaten well eaten, alé di partou!” she determined.
To carry out a care project, Emmanuelle must raise the sum of €4,000 which will be used as a contribution to the bank. She has so far managed to reach the sum of 380 €. The total cost of the project is €50,000.
