Horrific animal murders in Frankfurt’s posh district. On Friday morning, 30 dogs were given away with drugs in the Riedberg district. Eleven of the animals died from the meat baits that were laid out – they contained heroin and amphetamines. This is reported by the “Bild” newspaper.

One of the affected dog owners is Martina Peukert. The 46-year-old lost her black Labradoodle-Bolonka mix Blacky. The dog had eaten the bait during the walk and died four hours later. “It was meticulously planned,” complains the dog owner.

Her husband Olaf reports that at home the dog could no longer walk and began to stagger. At one point the dog rubbed its nose with its paw. Suddenly saliva ran out of his mouth until the dog finally collapsed with convulsions. In the hospital, the diagnosis followed: poisoning. In the hospital, any help for the four-legged friend came too late.

Veterinarian proves drugs in bait – police cannot confirm this yet

The Riedberg police confirmed the poisoning of the dogs to the “Bild”. However, officials could not confirm that the bait contained drugs. “We sent one of the decoys to the lab. The result will only be known in the next few days, ”said a spokesman.

A dog owner had collected the bait and taken it to a veterinarian, reports the “image”. There, a quick test showed positive for drugs. The vet relayed the information to the clinic, who then knew what antidotes to administer.

Martina Peukert now confirms that witnesses have come forward. “Maybe someone saw something and can report it to the police. It could also have hit children, for whom the bait might have been fatal if they had put the meat in their mouths,” says the entrepreneur.
