Three weeks after the major pipe rupture, which had flooded and damaged the Sarrail quay at the Lafayette bridge, traffic will be able to resume on Monday, September 19.
It took nearly three weeks for teams from the Métropole de Lyon to restore the Quai Sarrail following the major rupture of the pipe which damaged it on August 14 at the Lafayette bridge. According to the community, the Eau du Grand Lyon teams had to replace “about forty meters of pipes“.
The new coating of the quay was to be laid this Friday afternoon, in anticipation of the reopening of the road announced for this Monday, September 19. The C3 and C13 buses, whose route had been modified due to the works, will return to their usual route from 4 a.m. on Monday. Additional work will continue for three weeks, in particular on the quay side alley for a few days, in order to “return the public space to its original state“.
