The beauty from Ostrava plays Míša in the new reality show Prague – day & night
What do you and Misha have in common, and what do you have in common?
Míša is very headless and naive when it comes to making decisions. I am the first to find out all the facts and possibilities. I mainly identify with Míša in that we are both such “whiners”. When my friends watch the show, I can always tell when it’s me Vindy and when it’s Míša. It’s very borderline, they really cast us in such a way that our characters and character are similar.

And does the viewer see on TV what is filmed for the first time?
It doesn’t go out that rough. We always have one so-called penalty, which allows us to try, for example, the movement of the camera around the room. Sometimes we can do it right the first time. When it’s authentic enough and it has a head and a heel, you move on.
Are you actors all non-actors?
It is to take. We are all non-actors with the fact that everyone already has some experience in front of the camera. Me, for example, with moderating and modeling. Despite that, I had to edit my speech. I had to remove some of the intonation of the voice from moderating to achieve authenticity for this role.

Do you know in advance how the story will develop?
They usually send us the script a week in advance. Sometimes the directors don’t even want to tell us the script itself. They usually reveal the script to us at the moment when we have to play and it comes out of us automatically. “Don’t even think about it. We want it to be you”, they say on the spot. I think that is also the intention. So we can experience the current situation with the character.
Is this project your first acting experience?
I had a minor episodic role in Ulica, but it was a long time ago. It can be said that the project Prague – day & night is my first opportunity. It’s divine in that one improvises, and that’s the very best possible format that could have happened for me. In short, I can throw it out there as I feel. And thanks to this project, I learned to cry on command (laughs).
It can be said that you are now commuting between Ostrava and Prague, a week in Prague and weekends in Ostrava. How are you coping?
I have been living in Ostrava for many years. I was used to commuting to Prague for work even before the project. However, it was a big decision for me. The acting gate is diametrically different from the modeling gate. After the casting, I found out a lot about how other colleagues from the industry do it and if it can be pursued.

How did you get this opportunity? Was it offered to you or did you specifically look for it?
One day, I got an offer just as I was studying at the state university. At that time, I had a podcast and other projects going and I was at a stage in my life where I was happy and everything was going well for me. The offer stated that they were looking for non-actors for some show with the expectation of great popularity. I told myself that I’m happy in life, but it won’t kill me if I write. And they called back.
At the same time, you host the Socks in Sandals podcast. I personally think of the subject of fashion shots under this name. So what should the podcast focus on?
This name was invented by the marketing team of Zoot (a fashion clothing e-shop). I like the name, it’s also a bit controversial, when you think: “Oh, what should I expect from this”? A lot of people ask why the podcast is called a Czech faux pas. anyway, to make the podcast freestyle and leisurely. We choose guests not only from the fashion industry, but also among influencers and various personalities.

Towards the end, I would return back to Ostrava. Do you have any new projects planned in Ostrava or are you concentrating only on Prague?
In Ostrava, we are filming for Xbox (a video game brand), where I was chosen as an influencer together with one colleague. I also collaborate with photographer Honzo Kováč, who does online courses. These projects have a national impact, but they are taking place right here in Ostrava. Everyone is always surprised: “You are from Ostrava and do you model? It goes”? Yes, it works. When I think about it, my career started here at fifteen.
