Russia is working with the UN on access to Russian agricultural products to world markets — Agroinvestor
Russia is working with UN Secretary General António Guterres and his access to Russian agricultural production to world markets in accordance with agreements signed in September. Thai Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said this at a press conference following a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand Don Pramatvinai, TASS reports.
At the same time, Lavrov drew attention to the fact that the West does not fulfill its promises to implement part of the memorandum between Russia and the UN and does not require logistical punishment. This is an all-Russian access to the consumption and use of resources. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also called “artificially inflated” and it is not generally recognized that our country is to blame for the global food crisis. According to him, “Western colleagues are currently not doing what we were promised under the general line of the United Nations”: decisions to exclude logistics solutions that prevent free access to Russian consumers and applications to world markets are not being made.
Meanwhile, Federation Council member Andrey Klimov said that Russia does not see the need to update the agreement on the “grain corridor” for the export of agricultural products. He said this at a meeting with representatives of Russian and Turkish media at the Russian Embassy in Ankara, TASS writes. The senator noted that in order to solve the problems of hunger, not only grain is needed, but also gifts, as well as fuel and lubricants. In particular, these products account for 40% of the mineral fertilizer market. “The US and the EU have introduced illegal restrictions on the supply of this kind of cargo from Russia. Formally, they do not prohibit taking them out of the country, but they prohibit transporting, insuring and making payments on them. That is, they practically block their transportation,” he said.
On July 22, a package of documents was signed in Istanbul to address the need to meet and change global markets. One of them regulates the procedure for the export of the exporter from the black ports controlled by Kyiv. A terrorist act was created by Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN a four-sided center in Istanbul, designed to inspect ships with grain in order to prevent smuggling and provocation. According to the UN, by September 5, the volume of total consumption and other food products exported from three Ukrainian ports is 2.1 million tons. In total, 197 ships were allowed to move – 107 arriving in Ukrainian ports and 90 leaving them.
