Russia and Thailand may resume flights
Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Thailand Don Pramatvinai will visit Moscow today and tomorrow, September 5-6, for talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, follows from statement ministries. Countries plan to cancel direct flights. In anticipation of the increased danger that the Russian vaccine Sputnik V and Sputnik Light are in Thailand, which increased the importance of air flights between the two countries.
The department noted that Thailand retains a universal group in relation to special operations in Ukraine under pressure from the “collective West”. This makes it possible to develop trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, in particular, in the field of agricultural development. It is noted that Thai companies are investing in the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian regions. The countries also plan to jointly develop innovative products in the field of medicine, information technology and biotechnology.
Thailand announced its intention to resume direct flights with Russia. Then the replacement will take place in the fall. It was reported that the Thai authorities are looking for a solution to the problem with paying for the Russian payment system. Earlier, Russia announced negotiations with Thailand on the initiative of the Mir payment system in the country. In August of the early year, among Russian tourists vacationing in Thailand, increased by 61% compared to the same month last year. In July, Aeroflot announced that from October 30 it is planned to operate direct flights to Thailand.
