Fighter Muradov received a Czech visa, he is already in Prague: Seeing his daughter is the most important thing
End of speculation and rumours. When Makhmud Muradov began to speak publicly about his visa problems, which he unsuccessfully requested from the Czech authorities, various assumptions emerged as to why he was not allowed to enter the country. But he himself asked for an explanation, which he did not receive for a long time. Now he’s in trouble. After all, he received the requested document. “Finally, I got a Czech visa and I can be here normally again,” said the satisfied fighter to iSport.cz. For two years, he has been assured that he can see his daughter, friends and train at his home Monster Gym at any time.
Why did the Czech Republic change its position regarding your visa?
“What happened? Nothing happened, I was in Uzbekistan, I applied for a visa in Slovakia and they granted me. And when I got it, my lawyer took some steps, we also asked for a Czech one, and that’s what we got in the end. I’m back in the Czech Republic. And completely legal, so I didn’t break anything. Even though I’ve been talked about here, I’ve never broken the law.”
How much were you looking forward to going to Prague?
“Not so much to Prague as to my daughter. I was just glad to hear them say ‘Daddy, daddy, where have you been?’ (smiles) Reuniting with my daughter was simply the most important thing for me.”
What is your program now and how long will you be in the Czech Republic?
“I’ll be here until the end of the week, and then I’ll go to Poland for training.”
How is your preparation going for the fight with the Brazilian named Caio Borralho, who you are supposed to fight with at UFC 280 on October 22? What about your hand that you injured a while ago?
“I feel good. I spent the first stage of preparation at home in Uzbekistan with the boys in the mountains. But I missed sparring. I had some there, but here in the Czech Republic or Poland it is something else. So that’s what I’m going to focus on right now. And I got a lot of motivation when I was home. People came up to me, cheered me on, which is a really great motivation for me.”
Is there anything else you were looking forward to in Prague besides your daughter?
“For the friends I have here. It is not their fault that the Czech state treats me the way it does. So they are my friends, family you could say, which I was looking forward to. But most of all, of course, really on my daughter.”
