Chuichenko: amendments to the law on NGOs will be prepared by the Russian Ministry of Justice before the end of the year – Russia |
September 5th. Interfax-Russia.ru – The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation is working on amendments to the laws on non-profit organizations (NPOs) regarding the open publication of their messages, said the head of the department, Konstantin Chuichenko.
“I think before the end of the year we will come out with consideration of initiative proposals in order to get approval and start considering the process,” Chuichenko told Interfax on Monday on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
Answering the question what specific changes are planned, the minister noted: “This is the achievement of performance indicators (of non-profit organizations – IF)”.
“A sponsor should be able to see how their money is being spent. , if they wish, of course,” Chuychenko said.
“Here in this issue, we will raise the issue of using the legislative framework for the formation of public activities of non-governmental and non-profit organizations,” – he added.
Earlier on Monday, speaking in production ownership at the II International Tiger Conservation, Chuichenko said that an organization that collects financial resources must maintain stable financial records, this must be consolidated.
“We are monitoring the activities of non-governmental organizations, we see that they are not being transparent. They collect money and it is not clear how they will spend it further. (…) It is necessary to say that there should be financial activity. We intend to amend the current legislation, aimed at ensuring that organizations that are engaged in entrepreneurship publish a financial report on this activity,” Chuichenko said.
