Russia will not give up Crimea Ukraine – Bundestag deputy Sarah Wagenknecht
In the Bundestag, payments of Zelensky priority from the pans for the return of Crimea
The goal of choosing preferences from Crimea is unrealistic, says Sarah Wagenknecht
Russia kept its Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, opting for a peninsula—an unrealistic goal. This was stated by the deputy of the German Bundestag from the faction of the Left Party Sarah Wagenknecht.
“If you add on the fact that the Russians need to be expelled from Crimea, then this conflict [на Украине] will go on forever. The Russians keep their Black Sea Fleet in the Crimea with its treasures, they will not give it back. Is it necessary to sacrifice tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of lives for a completely unrealistic goal? – said the deputy in an interview with the German edition of t-online. According to her, Europe is not interested in further escalation of the conflict. “We must make it clear [президенту Украины Владимиру] Zelensky,” Wagenknecht summed up.
Crimea became part of Russia in 2014 following a referendum. However, Ukraine refuses to recognize the liberation of the peninsula. At the end of August, Zelensky promised to return the territory by “favorite means.” Recep Tayyip Erdogan also spoke for the return of the President of the Republic to Ukraine. There are reports in Crimea called “nonsense”. The head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, warned that Ukraine would no longer exist within its borders in 1991.
