Penalty in the third minute. Zbrojovka lost against Bohemians at home
Lišen has another point. The game in Chrudim did not convince, but the defense still holds it
The leading goal of the Prague team came unexpectedly early. David Puskáč first hit the crossbar with his head from the center, but in the following fight home stopper Lukáš Endl kicked Petr Hronok in the head in the penalty area and Puskáč converted the awarded penalty. “I think the penalty was correct. I knew exactly how I was going to kick her, I just concentrated on kicking her well. We were given such an opportunity very early on and it was important that we managed to use it,” the kangaroo striker Puskáč gloated.
Five minutes before the break, Prague increased the lead when, after a long drive, Daniel Köstl passed the ball to Antonín Křapka, and the visiting defender scored his third such goal. “The second goal cost us dearly. It was a simple standard long car situation. At the same time, our players knew exactly who would solve it and in what space, we showed it in the analysis. The first half slipped through our fingers, we couldn’t do anything, we were timid,” lamented Dostálek.
The Brno coach revived the lackluster performance with a substitution, when he left midfielders Filip Blecha and Šimon Falta in the cabin, Wale Musa Alli and Adam Fousek replaced them in the second half. “I believe that the criticism in the cabin was constructive and the players learned from it. If we let the starting eleven sit and the players didn’t come out in the second half, no one would be surprised,” said a disappointed Dostálek.
Zbrojovka had momentum at the beginning of the second half, but only got a reduction from it. In the 48th minute, Alli found Ševčík and Zbrojovka’s top scorer scored his fourth goal of the year with a hard shot. In the end, the home team rejoiced at the equalizer, but the euphoria was cut short by Jakub Řezniček’s offside. “In the second half, it became clear that he can play football, but the terrain in Serbia limited us a lot. We created few goalscoring opportunities that were able to turn the tide of the match, which cost us dearly,” added Dostálek.
On the contrary, the guests could have increased the chances, goalkeeper Martin Berkovec shone against the chances of Lukáš Hůlka and Martin Hála. Prague have not yet lost away from home in four matches in this league.
Comet intercepted the transfer bomb. She brought the leading Czech goalkeeper
They jumped to sixth place in the table, just ahead of Brno, which still has a good duel with Pilsen. “We had an excellent first half. We deservedly led 2:0 and with more modesty the result could have been even higher. Unfortunately, we got a contact goal right at the start and overall we struggled to win. Zbrojovka played excellently in the second half and it was clear that its results were not easy. Three points are very valuable, until the last minute we had to defend, fight hard and fight,” said visiting coach Jaroslav Veselý.
