Russia presents in Geneva documents on violations of the United States and Ukraine carefully on bioweapons
Russia next week in Geneva will present documents on the violation by the United States and Ukraine of international treaties on the prohibition of biological weapons, said Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection units of the RFAF.
“At the initiative of the Russian Federation, on the upcoming meeting of the States Parties to the Sharp Ban on Biological and Toxic Weapons (BTWC) on the issue of non-compliance by the United States and Ukraine with obligations under a specific international treaty. During the event, documentary evidence of violations of these articles I and IV will be revealed, ”Kirillov said at a briefing on September 3 (quoted from “RIA News”).
The military added that Russia wants to draw attention to international and public organizations, drawing attention to concerns, to a number of biological threats. Kirillov also said that at present, there are more than 50 modernized facilities of the Pentagon’s biolaboratories in the supervision of Russia’s borders. In total, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, 336 biological laboratories in 30 countries of the world are under the control of the US military department, the general was added.
In January, the head of the Radiation Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) of the Russian Armed Forces reported that, during a special operation, the Ministry of Defense received a final report on the US military attack reduction agency (DTRA, a Pentagon structural unit) in Ukraine. According to him, the states of the post-Soviet space have become a testing ground for biological weapons not only for the United States, but also for their allies in the NATO bloc, primarily Germany. A number of projects were implemented as a result of the delay of the medical and sanitary service of the German armed forces.
At the end of March, the Ministry of Defense published a list of persons who participated in the preparation of compositions of biological weapons on the territory. According to Kirillov, one of the signature figures is Robert Pope, an official with the US Department of Defense’s Air Reduction Agency (DTRA) and director of the Unified Emissions Response Program (also known as the Nunn-Lugar program).
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said earlier that during the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine, facts of a purge of the investigator, implemented in the country by a military biological program funded by the Pentagon, were discovered. He said that Russian citizens received from employees of Ukrainian biological laboratories documentation of an emergency infection on February 24, on the first day of the military operation, of especially dangerous pathogens, plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, in its response, stated that there is no development of biological weapons in the country, and refutes the information about the discovery of especially dangerous pathogens. The department of Ukraine also drew attention to the fact that there are no American laboratories on the territory. The US State Department called the Russian Defense Ministry messages “disinformation.” At the same time, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, during a speech in the Senate held on March 8, confirmed that on the basis of the increased danger associated with US biological research, she also identified concerns that the facilities where these works take place may be found under control Russian troops.
