Russia is diversifying energy exports – Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation
The head of the department met with the G20 energy ministers
Russia is diversifying energy exports and obliges everything in order to fulfill its obligations on the supply of energy resources, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said at a G20 energy meeting in Indonesia. The results of the meeting are reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
The Russian minister noted that the next G20 meeting is taking place in the context of international energy policy and security, which are especially important for Russia, internal markets and stable relations with on-site visits. In his opinion, an unbalanced transition of countries to “green” technologies in the implementation of climate intensity is emerging in the world energy sector.
“The way out of this danger is possible only through the elimination of its root causes. First of all, this is the restoration of significant chains of energy resources flow, building a balanced energy and climate policy, in particular, solving problems on climate impact, should not lead to restrictions on access to power. Instead of the reserves of resources consumed from coal energy, significant resources are consumed, more consumed by energy resources,” he translated.
Nikolai Shulginov reiterated that the G20 is perceived by Russia as the leading mechanism for international economic governance. Previously, the forum has often made a significant contribution to the rapid response to acute challenges in the global economy, such as the financial crisis provoked by the United States in 2008 or the consequences of the spread of the pandemic.
