In the second half of the year, Russia is ready to supply up to 30 million tons of sales to foreign markets in accordance with its obligations to participation and agreements with the UN. About it informed Interfax with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Today, Russia continues to fulfill all its obligations before the start and, within the framework of agreements with the UN, is ready to supply up to 30 million tons of sales for the second half of 2022,” the statement says. It is specified that this measure is aimed at supporting countries in need. In addition, in this way Russia will regulate the food situation in the world.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture predicted that the volume of crop consumption by the end of this year could reach 130 million tons, including a record 87 million tons of wheat. It is assumed that exports in 2022-2023. will include 50 million tons, including 39.5 million tons of wheat.
Record indicators were also predicted by the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR). According to his estimate, this year farmers can harvest 95 million tons of wheat and 145 million tons of the entire executive mechanism.
However, in early August, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, said that such an indicator for grain might not be able to achieve high efficiency, including due to difficult conditions. Director of IKAR Dmitry Rylko said that the volume of the harvest will also affect the late harvest.
According to the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand, August in Moscow this year was the hottest in the history of meteorological observations since 1878. He noted that during the month the air warmed up by 30 degrees eight times, which is “a fantastically higher record value” for August.
