Russia and China support at least ten scientific projects
The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Ministry of Science of China in 2022 provided financial support as a decade to Russian-Chinese projects. This decision was imposed by the Russian-Chinese subcommittee on scientific and technical cooperation announced Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Natalia Bocharova and Vice Minister of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Guangjun.
Implementation of plans planned for 2023-2025.
Support will be subject to revision by competitive topics:
(drug research);
natural nature management and environmental protection;
information and communication technologies (artificial intelligence, Internet of things, digital technologies and others);
new transport systems, special engineering;
low-carbon technologies (capture and disappearance, energy-saving technologies and others);
agricultural technologies;
food science;
marine research.
considering that in 2021 Russia and China supported six projects in promising areas of scientific and technological development. The average grant for the entire period of the project was 30 million rubles from the Russian side and 34 million rubles from the Chinese side. The results of scientific and technological cooperation will occur in 2023.

Xi’an Transport University;
Northwestern Polytechnic University;
Nanjing University;
Institute of Marine Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences;
Harbin Engineering University;
Zhejiang University.
It follows that on August 30, the 26th meeting of the Russian-Chinese subcommittee on scientific and technical cooperation was held in the protocol of the videoconference. During the event, Natalia Bocharova and Zhang Guangjun discussed the state of the market and prospects for developing cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation. The parties exchanged views and proposals on expanding cooperation in the implementation of mega-science projects and the activities of the Russian-Chinese Mathematical Center.
Representatives of the People’s Republic of China expressed interest in joint work within the framework of the Snezhinka International Arctic Station project. During the meeting, it was decided in general terms to sign an agreement on the drafting and start using scientific and educational programs in the field of hydrogen energy, hybrid transport, telecommunications, robotics and other environmentally friendly technologies based on the Arctic station.
In addition, the Russian side attracted the attention of a Chinese colleague in May – 2023 visiting carbon landfills in the Voronezh and Kaluga regions to get acquainted with the principles of organizing work at the landfills.
The parties agreed that the 27th meeting of the Russian-Chinese subcommittee on scientific and technical meeting will be held in 2023 in Russia.
