Russia and China will discuss agriculture and joint industrial enterprises at the WEF
The Ministry of Eastern Development will discuss with China in the Eastern Economic (EEF) agriculture and joint industrial enterprises, the head of the department Alexei Chekunkov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to the minister, China’s partnership in the post-Soviet meeting, you made a trial and error decision, but the number of trunk projects has increased, several of which are the Power of Siberia project, it has already been completed, is currently being filled with resources and will expand.
“In addition to cooperation in the oil and gas sector, a new direction is important – cooperation in the field of agricultural development,” Chekunkov said.
The minister stressed that the Zabaikalsky grain terminal will be opened just at the WEF, which will allow tens of millions of exporters to export to promising markets in Asia. The terminal is the first and effective result of the New Overland Grain Corridor Russia-China project. It is expected that the project will significantly reduce infrastructural restrictions for transshipment of the consumer in the Far East, and will reduce the cost of consumer logistics.
“Of course, it is important to create mutually beneficial industrial enterprises,” Chekunkov noted.
The WEF will be held on September 5-8 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island.
