Gourdon. A nice choice of activities in town this Saturday
This Saturday, your market-fair will be on the southern boulevards, pedestrians for the occasion from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Once your shopping is over, take advantage of your visit to the city center to visit the Art & Home organized by the association Les Idées Vagabondes at the Espace des Cordeliers.
One of the artists, Christine Hahusseau, attached her incisions to it. The idea of creations made of paper was a daring discovery that resumed in 2012 during the biennial paper in Gourdon. A unique art that she details: “I mainly use paper, its naturally white color or painted with walnut stain, Indian ink. Using different scalpels I cut a shape in the paper and superimposes another on top and so on to create depths. It’s 3D cutting. It’s also a struggle with the fragility of paper, a manageable but capricious material that requires long hours per painting”.
Each work of Christine represents a superior difficulty, impressive in skill and patience, she is always more daring. In the same way she embroiders on her creations with metal thread, writing her thoughts: “My poetry is tangled according to the heart, tangled according to the magic of a line”. Symbols also have their place there, one of the paintings retraces the dream life of Séraphine, a moving film about a naive painter. You can contact Christine Hahusseau on 06 68 16 59 99.
An art gallery is also worth visiting, named “Knup N’Roll” at 7 rue du Corps Franc Pommiès, where you will discover how the composer beautifully commented on another life in wood and metal.
You could also take a trip to the MJC, place Noël Poujade, where many workshops are offered. Or head to the Tourist Office, at 20 Bd des Martyrs, for a wide range of activities on offer in Bouriane.
