Orange-Red and Amsterdam playing locations of Pro League caravan
The FIH Pro League will be played at two locations in the Netherlands next season. In the Wagener Stadium in Amsterdam and at the Oranje-Rood complex in Eindhoven. In addition to those locations, there are six more countries that the Pro League caravan passes by. The Orange teams will play in Eindhoven from 6 to 11 June. That same month (from June 22 to June 27) the teams play in the Wagener Stadium.
Orange does not visit all locations due to the new design. During this fourth season, the match will be centered to avoid impact on players and travel. Host cities in India, New Zealand and Australia are not visited for that reason. The Orange squad starts the Pro League season in Argentina, then goes via Eindhoven to London, then to Amsterdam and finally to Antwerp.
That’s not the only change. This season, for the first time, there is also a promotion and relegation scheme. The team that comes last will play in the new FIH Nations Cup in the 2023-2024 season. A kind of Pro League for B-teams. The winner of that competition next year with the big countries.
