Russia may increase wheat exports to Vietnam
Russia is discussing with Vietnam the prospect of increasing demand for the Russian market, the correspondent of KazakhZerno.kz reports with reference to the materials of the Rosselkhoznadzor. This corresponds to the requirements for the Russian department with Vietnamese colleagues.
The Rosselkhoznadzor noted that excessive export emissions in the Vietnamese market were at a low level due to the control in Russian wheat of a dangerous quarantine object of seeds of the wild thistle. Last year, only 188 thousand tons of wheat were exported in this state of Southeast Asia. Before that, there were large volumes: in 2017 it was 1.7 million tons, in 2018 – 2.6 million tons.
According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, comprehensive and painstaking work has been carried out to reduce the risks of detecting signs in the seizure, which is intended for shipments in Vietnam. Today, 18 elections have been accredited by Vietnamese competent services.
The Vietnamese side has expressed its interest in purchasing wheat from Russia. The Russian side announced the delivery of the first batches in September-October 2022. They will contain grain produced in territories that require a bodyak.
To be sure of the high phytosanitary quality of Russian wheat, the Rosselkhoznadzor involved Vietnamese specialists in sending export lots.
In addition, Russia is interested in supplies of flour and cereals to Vietnam. Countries will work on this issue separately.
