Russia found no way to contact Ukraine
There are currently no possible cases of conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, including at the level of heads of state. Such an opinion on Sunday, August 21, was Gennady Gatilov, permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the offices of the UN and other international organizations in Geneva.
Comment by the President of Ukraine on the likelihood of a meeting in Russia and Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky in the foreseeable future, the diplomat said that “there is no practical platform for this meeting,” writes Financial Times.
At the same time, Gatilov highly appreciated the difficulties of the Turkish side and, in particular, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in establishing a Russian-Ukrainian dialogue. According to the Russian permanent representative, Erdogan is doing everything possible to block this dialogue.
Earlier in the Turkish edition, it was reported that Erdogan, during a meeting in Lviv, proposed to Zelensky airport that he meet with Putin to determine a road map for Ukraine. According to media reports, Ukrainian leader Putin proposed a four-times summit, but the proposals were rejected due to the persistence of a “concrete search for solutions” at the level of heads of state. However, now Moscow can look through its suspicion about the meeting between Putin and Zelensky, extract information sources.
