Part of Bohemia was hit by strong storms, 129 millimeters of rain fell at Rokycan
According to meteorologists, 128.8 millimeters of rain fell in Hrádek u Rokycan in three hours, of which 90 millimeters fell in the last hour. Rain continued to fall in the area overnight, so totals will be even higher.

“Another potentially dangerous situation is looming in Příbramské, Rokycanské and Plzeňské. Intense thunderstorms are almost motionless. Expect locally intense precipitation and gusts of wind,” said the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) after nine o’clock in the evening.

The warning was also issued for the southern and western parts of the Central Bohemian Region and Prague.

Water flooded several places in the capital. “In connection with the heavy rain, we have intervened in 14 cases so far. It was about pumping water from flooded areas and lagoons on the road,” the Prague fire department said on Twitter.
