Figueira Bella creates the surprise
A gloomy, even threatening weather, not conducive to country getaways, was to the detriment
certain at this first lannemezanaise meeting on Wednesday which in terms of the number of spectators, did not experience its usual success. And it’s a shame because the rain having had the good taste to register for absent subscribers, the show lived up to expectations and we had a great afternoon.
The star event of the day, the Lannemezan Grand Prix stood out from the program and saw the victory of an outsider, Figueira Bella, who was not expected at such a party. Led at the start by Grazia du Bellay and Gege Du Houlme, the race quickly changed its face under the impetus of Good Time, who took command mid-race, taking Goden Eye William, Gege Du Houlme and Grazia Du in his wake. Gaspard des Loups had to settle for 2nd place ahead of Golden Eye William, who did well, Grazia Du Bellay, Good Time and Gabarret. At the start of the meeting, we were pleased to witness the victory of Joli Danseur in group B of the Prix de La Save.
