Duchoslav, Varhan and Kolečko: Famous personalities appear on the Prague candidates
The actor Jan Antonín Duchoslav, who appeared in the films Snow Whites and Snow Whites or Rafťáci, appears in the eleventh place on the list Prague without Chaos. “Our leader Jaroslav Ďuriš approached me with the offer to run for office, whom they trust as a person. I have been flirting with the possibility of entering municipal politics for a long time, because there are many things that burn me in my environment. I don’t care in what condition I pass this land on to my sons. And it’s easy to complain about what’s going on around us in the pub over a beer. It is difficult to take personal responsibility and put one’s own head on that imaginary block,” says Duchoslav about his candidacy.
He would clearly like to influence our environment and related problems, starting with the maintenance and cleaning of our surroundings, the management of natural resources, waste management, transport and the overall development of our city.
Twenty-three participants. Big parties and bizarre groups are going to the elections in Prague
Another interesting face appears on the Motoristé seba candidate, who is close to ex-president Václav Klaus. Their priority should be transport, parking, but also the level, availability and quality of public services. Under number 10, the page mentions the name of Petr Kolečko, who appears as a screenwriter in the series Okresní přebor, Most! or Lajna.
“We have known Petr Koleček for quite a long time. We know that we have the same opinion on most things, which is sometimes quite sharp. In his work, he himself often mercilessly defines himself against certain tendencies and trends that want to change and preserve society. We have that in common. Petr Kolečko wrote to me right at the beginning that he likes how the whole project of motorists oscillates between a certain form of recession and an absolutely fundamental truth. I add to this that it is important to maintain a certain level of perspective so that the ‘fundamental truth’ can be better explained and promoted,” says Petr Macinka, chairman of the movement and also a spokesperson for the Václav Klaus Institute, about Koleček’s candidacy.
Prague pulled out the registered party, it did not get enough signatures for the petition
The Czech Pirate Party nominated Albert Štěrba under number 34, who works as a neurosurgeon at the University Hospital of Královské Vinohrady and is also a doctoral candidate in the field of neuroscience. “I am convinced that the work of a doctor gives me a unique perspective on the health sector – an area that I am already dedicated to in the departmental health care team, and I could do more at the municipal level as well. although the municipal influence on the health care system in Prague is limited, it is by no means negligible – specifically, for example, in the area of social care for the elderly and the long-term sick,” Štěrba states the reason for his candidacy.
Another priority for him is the field of education, in which he sees the key to our current and future social prosperity. As a not very important perception, care for the environment and transport infrastructure, which works well according to him, are essential for the economic development of the city and the satisfaction of its inhabitants.
We can find champions on the candidate lists
Koalice Praha nominated professional athlete, freestyle scooterist and three-time world champion from 2017, 2018 and 2019 Richard Zelinka under number 18. Dennis Pinc, the six-time champion of the Czech Republic in rowing in his category, precedes him with number 10. The coalition is composed of the political parties Domov, Rozumní and Czech Sovereignty. They perceive more affordable energy for the people of Prague, solving the traffic problem and increasing safety in the capital as a priority.
