1,800 farmers are coming to Budapest on August 20 and they are not in a good mood
Bálint Szabó also announced that they are protesting not only for the sake of the farmers, but also demanding a salary increase for teachers and health workers, as well as the repeal of the death penalty law and the utility increase, as well as the blowing off of the fireworks and “rag shaking” on the 20th.
Bálin Szabó – who previously accepted the support of Fidesz, then went to MSZP and DK – is currently a representative of the independent Szeged municipality – who was elected president of the domestic duck and goose association in May of this year under controversial circumstances – stated on Facebook, that “he who picks up the gloves, we will not back down” – writes a hvg.hu.
With this, Szabó indicated that although the police did not approve the final event of the national farmers’ demonstration planned for August 20 in Budapest in the form they would have liked, they insist that
based on the original script, they will march with the tractors in downtown Budapest and occupy the lower wharves in Buda and Pest on the evening of the fireworks, and will remain there with the agricultural machinery until August 31.
According to Szabó, the police and the government want to make the farmers’ demonstration impossible, so they would not allow it to take place in the planned form.
