Bad weather: storm in Florence, fallen trees and flooding – Tuscany
Limited inconvenience, but intense evening cloudburst over the city
(ANSA) – FLORENCE, 15 FA – Fallen trees, flooding with inconvenience to road traffic, some short and temporary blackouts in some parts of the city in Florence due to tonight’s disturbance, announced by the weather forecast and the first that in a copious and significant interrupted the long period of drought. The traffic police intervened in Florence in particular for tree falls on Lungarno Ferrucci (one ended up in a parked car at the corner with via Ricorboli), in viale Marco Polo and in via Cave di Monteripaldi, and in the defense of critical underpasses for flooding, such as that between Viale Guidoni and the airport.
Water on cars has blocked road traffic in many parts of the city, heavy rainfall has difficulties caused to motorists by decreasing visibility.
