Shanghai List: 11 Polish universities among the top 1000 in the world

There are 11 Polish ones among the top 1,000 best universities in the world. The highest in the ranking of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the University of Warsaw, which were in the fifth group – according to the publication of the Shanghai List on Monday – the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
Ranking of the best colleges in the world – also known as the Shanghai List, who first came in 2003, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since 2009, he has been Shanghai Ranking Consultancy.
Only one change on the podium
This year, only one change on the podium. Harvard has already been announced as the best American university. Stanford was second on the list. The third place went to the American Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Cambridge was relegated from its contribution to the fourth position – used until then -.
The exact position in the ranking is only known for the Top 100 of the world. The remaining ones are only approximately – 50 establishments start in a small number or 100 outlets. There, much lower, you have to look for Polish universities in the list. In the set of the year, 10 Polish universities were left on the list, including 11 (UMK returned to the list).
The best universities in Poland according to the Shanghai List are the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the University of Warsaw (which are in the fifth group – they ranked between 401-500).
Next on the list is the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków (in the seventh group), Gdańsk University of Technology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the Medical University of Silesian Piasts in Wrocław (ninth hundred).
In the last, tenth hundred are the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, Medical University of Warsaw, Uniwersytet im. Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń, Warsaw University of Technology and Wrocław University of Technology.
The ARWU ranking was compliant with the standards. It takes into account, inter alia, We have completed graduates in assembling employees who received Nobel prizes and Fields Medals, highly honored researchers, computer industry employees in the magazines “Natura” and “Science of computer science” and publication, placed in the indexes of citation of exact sciences selected by us).
