POLITICS IN OWN WORDS Deputy Mayor m of Prague, elected on the United Forces for Prague candidate, now on the STAN candidate, on his Facebook on August 11 to heat Prague
We will heat a third of Prague with sewage and water from the Vltava! How?
We all have a fridge at home. If you don’t even reach, you’ll keep cold, even if you’re inside, it’s warm outside. So we wondered if it would be possible to heat in the winter this way. And it was possible!
In Sweden, for example, they can already do it. They take heat from the sea in winter. We have two super sources of heat in the winter:
1) The Vltava, which is 3 °C warmer than a normal river thanks to the dams
2) own excrement, which converges to one place – Bubenč. Did you know that in winter they have a temperature of over 10 °C?
We can build a large energy center in Bubenč, with which we can replace the western gas heating plants on the entire shore from Juliska to Jinonice. Moreover, thanks to the collectors, it will be possible to connect the historic center of the city, which today is dependent on gas. The Energocentrum will be able to cover up to a third of Prague’s consumption! Just imagine, instead of expensive gas from Russia, you can generate heat in the morning in the east.
In the future, we can also build other energy centers by the river, using the heat of the Vltava Cascade and start gradually replacing the heat from the Mělník Thermal Power Plant. Ecological, and it will also help us reduce energy costs. That will do.
