Honorat talks about his nice rebound after the Greens and looks abroad
Zapping But! Soccer club ASSE: the complete list of the Greens
Transferred from ASSE to Stade Brestois for €5 million two years ago, Franck Honorat (26) has perfectly managed to launch his career in Brittany. With two full seasons, the attacking midfielder is now in the sights of Borussia Mönchengladbach, which has already made an offer of € 8 million (refused by the SB29).
In Ouest-France, Franck Honorat returned to the interest he arouses: “Is Borussia Mönchengladbach interested in me? It’s good ! As I said, I had a very good season last year so, in my opinion, it is normal that clubs are interested in me. But it’s my agents and Grégory Lorenzi who decide all that. There are ongoing discussions with clubs.
“Going abroad could be a great experience”
If he recognizes that after ASSE his departure abroad was premature, Honorat is now ready to take the plunge… while respecting Brest: “When I left Saint-Étienne for Brest, I was not ready , mentally, to go abroad: the language, the mentality, the culture. I preferred to find my football in France and I think it was a very good idea on my part. But now, I do not hide it, going abroad, it could be a great experience (…) When I arrived at Stade Brestois, I was told that it was a springboard club and that I could leave s there was a better project behind it. There are described clubs, discussions. But I am someone attached to the human side, I try to remain myself, to give myself 100% for the group. It was this club that revived me, so I will give everything, every minute I have, to give it back to them”.
