Czech TV (T) reported on the packaging on Friday morning. The Russian was detained by the Czech police on the basis of a Ukrainian arrest warrant last year. Ukraine blames him for illegal armed activities. Prask The Supreme Court did not allow him to travel to Ukraine due to the current situation in that country.
According to the Ukrainian authorities, in 2014, after traveling to Sevastopol, Franetti agreed to participate in an activity in the form of Self-Defense of the Crimea, which was not permitted by Ukrainian laws and which, among other things, was used to suppress the resistance of the pro-Ukrainian population in the given area.
Mu Dain created the Severn Vtr intelligence group and selected 11 members to whom he gave instructions daily. According to Ukraine, the commander of the Russian military provided the information they received in the country.
Franetti denied guilt, and Russia was also against his release. He insists that he was only searching the forest with other civilians to help protect the residents around Sevastopol. He stated that he used to go to the area when the annexation was going through, and that he wanted to save his family and property because of the danger of the conflict.
Prask city court first extradited Franetti to Ukraine for criminal detention. This happened shortly before the Norwegian Russian invasion. However, Franetti appealed to the Supreme Court in Prague. At the end of April, he published a decision according to which he is not allowed to be released due to the current situation in Ukraine.
According to the judge, there would be a real risk of violations of human rights. In addition, according to the court, there is a two-fold concern that Franetti would be persecuted in Ukraine after his release and put in prison because of his religious beliefs and, in particular, because of his participation in combat actions on the part of pro-Russian separatists.
Although the Supreme Court released Franetti from pre-trial detention, the Russian was never released – he was immediately arrested by the Czech National Center against Organized Crime and accused of being part of organized criminal groups in connection with the Russian annexation of Crimea. The circuit court subsequently sent him to prison. He expressed concern that the Russian might escape.
