Malang Sarr will be loaned to Monaco and return to Ligue 1
AS Monaco have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the recruitment of Malang Sarr. The 23-year-old central defender will be loaned with an option to buy by the Blues.
OGC Nice supporters will appreciate… Trained with the Aiglons and left free for Chelsea in 2020, Malang Sarr will soon join the rival of the Riviera club: AS Monaco. According to information from Athleticism and French media The Team and foot market, the Rock club have reached an agreement with the Blues for the 23-year-old central defender. In search of a player for more rearguard, Philippe Clément will therefore benefit from a player accustomed to Ligue 1 and who has already played on the European scene.
The operation will take the form of a paying loan (around 750,000 euros) until the end of the season. An assignment accompanied by a purchase option of around 15 million euros (12M€ + 3M in the form of a bonus) and released according to the number of matches played by the Frenchman with ASM.

Sarr on the relaunch in Monaco
Immediately loaned to Porto after signing across the Channel, Malang Sarr failed to make himself indispensable in Portugal. No more than at Chelsea in 2021-2022 under the orders of Thomas Tuchel. However, the future ASM recruit will not be available to play against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday in the second leg of the third qualifying round for the Champions League.
