Here, at the maritime medical consultation center (CCMM), a doctor makes a diagnosis. Dr. Patrick Roux, emergency doctor responsible for the CCMM, explains that the calls received can come from all over the world. On average, the medical center provides 6,000 consultations per year. The most serious cases can sometimes lead to a medical evacuation, but 80% of patients are treated on board, with the medicines on board.
