G7 countries are considering a ban on the transportation of Russian oil
The G7 condemned Russia’s use of energy exports as an instrument of international pressure. About it story in the aggregate of the requirements of the foreign affairs of the G7 member countries, published on August 2 on the website of the British government.
The G7, through “consultation at a profit,” set a price ceiling for crude oil and petroleum products. In the event that Russia tries to sell its transport services at a set price, all services that regulate fuel costs will be banned from transport services.
At the same time, the statement says that the G7 takes into account the interests of countries and ensuring their access to energy markets, including the Russian one.
“As Russian energy resources are separated from our markets, we will strive for schemes that define Russia’s natural dependence on hydrocarbons, and at the same time natural dependence on the global energy market and minimize the negative consequences, especially for countries with low and low high levels of income.”
The G7 includes the US, UK, France, Canada, Germany, Italy and Japan.
The fact that in the G7 there is an opportunity to set a ceiling on oil prices, at the end of July, a Reuters source reports. According to him, the ceiling price is set by December, just at the time when beliefs come into force that limit Russia’s oil reserves by sea. The essence of the plan is to sell Russian oil at cost price, but below market value. Thus, Russia can carry out production in order not to completely lose oil and gas revenues, but the profit belongs to a modest one.
