Vladimir Putin said that Russia will not work at a loss with unfriendly countries
Russia will not work to its detriment. We will control only those who are set up for mutually beneficial and predictable relationships. For such partners, Russia will be a reliable partner. This was stated today by Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the development of the metallurgical complex.
As the president noted, Western restrictions stopped the development of Russian business and reduced competition. All this is the protection of the WTO. In such circumstances, it is necessary to focus on the domestic consumption of metallurgy products.
“Restrictions on the work of domestic metallurgists are frankly unfair competition. We see this, and I repeat it in other places. They represent the interests of Western countries, which hold back Russian business as one of the leaders in the world metallurgy. And redistribute resources, of course, in their use. Russia will always be a reliable and responsible supplier of metallurgical products for buyers and partners, regardless of any violations of trade rules. For those who are set on a mutually beneficial predictable business cooperation, we will also be ready to provide a trip. But we will not work to our detriment with those who present us with clearly unfriendly relations. This applies not only to the metal market, but also to our other export products. And, of course, the focus of attention of industry companies and indicators, heads of regions should be on the consumption of food products in metallurgy,” Vladimir Putin noted.
“I would like to note an increase in the consumption of metal products in the foreign market. Contributes to the restoration of the pace of housing construction and the expansion of the use of steel structures. In this part, the Ministry of Construction, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, developed an action plan to stimulate a network of modular housing on a metal frame. Its implementation is transferred to this complex. We expect up to 30% growth in housing construction by 2030,” said Denis Manturov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
