As part of the “Get Your Child to School” campaign, children from low-income and large families receive assistance. This year, United Russia has extended the action to the Donbass and the liberated territories, said Daria Lantratova, deputy secretary of the party’s general council, during a humanitarian mission in the LPR.
The first batch of school kits – backpacks and stationery – was handed over to the children of the people’s representative of the Republic by the women’s committee and activists of the “Young Guard of United Russia” at a meeting in Krasnodon.
According to the chairman of the MGER Anton Demidov, the Young Guard, together with the Moscow branch of United Russia, have already sent three tons of humanitarian cargo to the DPR – backpacks, notebooks, felt-tip pens and pens, pencil cases for first-graders and children’s books.
The party action takes place annually as part of the New School project. The coordinator of the party project, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, Alena Arshinova, noted that at least 160,000 children from large and low-income families receive assistance in the regions of Russia every year. Thus, United Russia has more than 4 specific assignments for receiving thousands of school issues: stationery, sets for children’s creativity, school uniforms and shoes, school backpacks, sports equipment.
Marina Grigoryeva, coordinator of the New School party project in the Leningrad Region, said that the charitable charity event “Get the child ready for school” has long become a good tradition. It will be held in the region on the eve of September 1 on the occasion of the event of party members and the Young Guard of United Russia, where the United Russia party, open in each district, will gather, where anyone can provide all possible support to needy children. Before the Day of Knowledge, notebooks, diaries, briefcases, accessories and clothing items are especially relevant.
