Construction sites in Cologne: Rings and Hohenzollern Bridge affected
Construction continues on the Ringen, in Deutz the Hohenzollern Bridge is being renewed and in Porz the road closures are initially lifted. The construction sites in Cologne at a glance.
Due to the continuation of the work on the bicycle-friendly redesign of the rings, partial and full closures are due again in the next few days. The Hohenzollernring must be Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31, 2022, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the section between Friesenplatz/Magnusstraße and Flandrische Straße will be completely closed for marking work. Large-scale detours will be set up via Kyotostrasse/Nord-Süd-Fahrt/Neumarkt or Aachener Strasse/Innere Kanalstrasse/Erftstrasse. The Friesenplatz/Magnusstraße axis remains passable. Construction site in Cologne-Deutz: Resurfacing on the Hohenzollern Bridge
The city of Cologne lets go Monday 1 August 2022, renew the surface of the cycle and footpath ramp on the right bank of the Rhine on the north side of the Hohenzollern Bridge, at Charles-de-Gaulle-Platz. This will be the north side of the Hohenzollern Bridge until Monday 22 August 2022, locked. A signposted diversion route will be set up for pedestrians and cyclists via the south side of the Hohenzollern Bridge.
Cologne-Porz: Early lifting of the Loorweg closure
The complete closure of the Loorweg between house number 27 and the street “Auf dem Loor” due to road construction work (renewal of the road surface) can be postponed a week earlier than planned. Since the work could be completed faster than originally planned, Monday 1 August 2022, the passage on the main connection between Zündorf and Langel will again be possible for traffic. The buses of route 164 then take the usual route again.
