Russia ranks 30th in the world in terms of Internet cost
British advertising company Cable.co.uk kingthat the cheapest Internet in the world is in Israel – there 1 GB of traffic costs $0.04. The ranking of countries with the cheapest internet also includes Italy ($0.12 per 1 GB), San Marino ($0.14) and Fiji ($0.15). Russia is in the 30th place in the rating with an average cost of 1 GB of $0.48. The company’s research covered 233 countries of the world.
The most expensive Internet is on the island of Saint Helena, where for 1 GB of aircraft for $41.06. Among the countries with the most expensive internet are also the Falkland Islands ($38.45), Sao Tome and Principe ($29.49) and Tokelau ($17.88). All these countries are islands.
In general, the most expensive Internet is in the North American healthcare sector, with an average cost exceeding $4.98, the cheapest is in North America, where 1 GB of Internet costs an average of $1.05. In Eastern Europe, Internet access costs an average of $1.67 per 1 GB, the cheapest Internet is in Moldova ($0.26), the most expensive is in Greece ($5.3).
