Government backs verification of online sales of prescription drugs – Russia |
26 July. Interfax-Russia.ru – The government’s activity review commission has backed a review of the online sale of prescription drugs, reported on Tuesday by the press service of the United Russia party.
The project provides for the launch of remote sales of prescription drugs in the pilot regions – Moscow, Moscow and Belgorod.
The bill also provides for a number of exceptions for treatments that are not subject to remote sale and delivery. These are biological, narcotic and psychotropic substances and their precursors, potent substances, radiopharmaceuticals, immunopharmaceuticals, storage mode below 15 degrees, indicating alcohol over 25%, and drugs manufactured by pharmacy organizations.
When delivering a prescription drug that has been ordered remotely, the patient will be asked to read the instructions on the prescription.
The press service found the words of Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Fisenko that if the experiment gave positive results during the year, this initiative will be introduced on the basis of the entire territory of Russia.
The sale of prescription drugs over the Internet was allowed during the pandemic until the end of 2020.
The press service also noted that “United Russia” has repeatedly stated the need to make this opportunity indefinite. In particular, Secretary of the General Council of the party Andriy Turchak, during a discussion of problems with relevant departments and experts of the meeting, that restrictions can be lifted if there are no obvious manifestations. The proposal was supported by Roszdravnadzor. On February 3, Delovaya Rossiya supported the initiative for the president.
