More than 1.2 thousand trucks accumulated at the exit from Latvia to Russia
Against the backdrop of detentions against Russia, 1,250 trucks have accumulated on the border with Latvia. Irina Golubeva, deputy head of the Latvian customs post, explained that with the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, communication with the federal customs services was interrupted. “We really hoped that with the end of July 10 – a transitional period in which the categories of goods that could still be exported – were determined, the queues would be significantly reduced, but our expectations were not met,” Ms Golubeva told the Latvian television channel TV3 (quoted from “Interfax”).
