Russia makes it possible without the SWIFT interbank transfer system. This was stated during the forum by Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation for Economic Affairs Maxim Oreshkin.
“It’s very simple with SWIFT: we ordered it so that there was no need for it. <...> This is actually a key task now,” he was quoted as saying. TASS.
In essence, the Russian government is currently making changes to a more comfortable foreign economic activity. In particular, he noted that the world uses dollars and euros in settlements because of convenience, so this is also happening in Russia and China, but in the latter case there are all prerequisites for an increase in turnover in yuan and rubles.
Oreshkin also noted that the Russian economy is gradually recovering, the volume of lending is growing. On positive trends, he believes that the country expects by the end of the year.
The situation in the economy became more complicated when, on the night of February 24, Vladimir announced that he had decided on a special role for Putin in the Donbass. The President of the Russian Federation demanded the heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik to help repel aggression from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Later application, the United States and some other countries have entered against a number of Russia. They affected government officials and businessmen, as well as a number of a number of economies – from energy to the banking sector. In particular, many Russian banks have been disconnected from SWIFT.
