The next sturgeon release event took place on July 13, 2022 with Chinese fishing factories (Tongjiang, Heilongjiang province). In the border waters of the Amur, 140 thousand juvenile sturgeon species (kaluga, sturgeon) were released, the Federal Fisheries Agency reports.
According to the agreements, the issue was compiled with the participation of representatives of the Department of Agricultural Development and District of Heilongjiang Province, a representative of the People’s District of Heilongjiang Province, as well as representatives of the Russian Consulate General in Harbin. For more than 20 years, Russia and China have been holding an event on the release of juvenile sturgeon species (kaluga, sturgeon) in the border waters of the Amur and Ussuri rivers on May 27, 1994. Dates and places of release are agreed upon at the sessions of the Joint Russian-Chinese Conference on Cooperation in the Field of Fisheries. On the territory of Russia, the release of juvenile sturgeon species is scheduled for July 19, 2022 from the Vladimir Sturgeon Hatchery.
