Bloomberg: Russia supplies the Middle East with a record amount of oil products
Despite the fact that the export of petroleum products to Europe is exported by 30%, Russia has begun to supply fuel supplies to the countries of the Middle East. According to bloombergIf Russian exports in the Middle East are approximately 40,000 barrels per day, then the volume increased to 155,000 barrels per day already in June.
From the agency’s data, it follows that most of the Middle East’s exports are fuel oil. Less often, diesel or biodiesel fuel is imported from Russia. In June, Russia also sold about 25,000 barrels of jet fuel to Middle Eastern exporters.
Export volumes in Russia are projected to reach the highest level in 2016. According to analysts at Bloomberg, it could be discontinued in the future due to alleged restrictions that are subject to export cargo insurance for Russia.
Since the end of February, Russian officials have been talking about a reorientation of export operations to the east due to Western sanctions. On March 8, the United States imposed a ban on the import of all energy products from Russia, the gradual refusal to purchase Russian oil also implies the sixth package of EU decisions. Earlier, Reuters reported that Russia became the owner of an oil exporter to India, tripling the volume of supply around April 2022. The main reasons for the growing interest in higher fuel consumption for eastern consumers are discounts on purchases.
