Prague, July 12, 2022 (PROTEXT) – Brand new offices in a building that aspires to the highest WELL sustainability certification, Heureka Group reports. Heureka anchored in the Mississippi House building in the River City Prague complex. The offices have state-of-the-art technologies that ensure top-notch care for employees and are environmentally friendly. The relocation was covered by the company JLL, the architects of the provider Tétris Design & Build, s.r.o
The theme of the interior is the marketplace
The premises of the new Mississippi House building became the new headquarters of the Heureka Group, which currently employs 450 people in the CEE region. The specifications for the design and specifications of the space’s workspace arose from the needs of individual departments. “The main idea of the new offices is flexibility and collaboration. The goal was to create a place where everyone can find a place according to the type of activities I’m currently doing – from co-work, team meetings to focus booths for concentration. The entire concept of the interior is in the spirit of the marketplace (marketplace), just like our strategy,” explains Martina Chloupková, Head of HR Heureka Group, and continues: “The key for us was just enough diverse spaces, because we have the possibility of full-remote work, and we also support meeting in person. With our average growth rate of 10 people per month for the Czechia, the old offices were not enough for us.”
In total, the new offices have 26 meeting points, 150 workplaces, and a total of 303 chairs on which to work. In addition to 19 parking spaces in the underground offices, guarded spaces for bicycles and other modes of transport are a matter of course. Karlín does not leave Heureka, he only moves to the neighboring building.
In the same sustainability
The emphasis was on sustainability and social responsibility. “One of the key topics is sustainability. We launched the Sustainable e-shop project, organized the Sustainability in e-commerce conference. A sustainable headquarters was another goal,” explains Martina Chloupková and continues: “The new building is one of the most technologically advanced in the Czech Republic. Emphasis is placed on: reducing environmental impact, advanced waste recycling, CO2 monitoring. Everything corresponds with the strategies of removing our carbon footprint.” The building of retention tanks for capturing rainwater for irrigation of the surrounding greenery. Essential to the concept of long-term sustainability is the solution of a special glazed facade that retains thermal solar gains while maintaining a high level of daylight transmission, as well as geothermal wells under the building, which ensure the supply of approximately 80% of the heat for the entire building.
The building received LEED Platinum certification – an international standard in the field of design and construction of environmentally friendly and sustainable “green” buildings. At the same time, it aspires to be awarded the WELL Platinum certification, which pays particular attention to a healthy lifestyle and working environment. It guarantees that the lighting, air, water, but also the noise level meet the strictest health and ecological criteria.
