Destroyed Russian equipment from the war in Ukraine is in Prague. It can be seen at Letná
On Monday, an exhibition of military equipment, which the Russian army neutralized and subsequently seized from Ukrainian forces, will start in Prague. After Kyiv and the Polish capital Warsaw, it is the third city where a destroyed T-90 tank, a Sturm anti-tank set or a Buk anti-aircraft system will be on display. The exhibition starts on the evening of July 11 and will last until July 24. However, compared to the original announcement, the venue was changed – the exhibition was moved from Jan Palach Square to Letenská pláň by the Ministry of the Interior.
“Disarmed combat vehicles will become a reminder of the horrors of war brought about by Russian aggression against Ukraine, but at the same time a symbol of hope in the victory of democratic Europe over the aggressor. The exhibition should also express Ukraine’s gratitude to the Czech Republic for the delivered weapons and ammunition that help the defenders fight against the Russian invaders,” the Ukrainian embassy said.
On Monday, an exhibition of Russian military equipment decommissioned in the fighting in Ukraine will open in Prague 7. There will be a 🇷🇺T-90 tank, Sturm anti-tank set, Buk anti-aircraft system and other objects.

Tetiana Okopna, spokeswoman for the Ukrainian embassy, clarified for the editors on Sunday that the T-90 tank, the 2S34 Chosta mortar, the Sturm and Buk systems and the 2S19 Msta self-propelled howitzer will be on display at the exhibition. In addition, some of the many thousands of rockets fired by the Kremlin on the territory of Ukraine will also appear next to them. Prague representative Jan Čižinský then informed that the technology is already in place.
The exhibition will be opened by Prague Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates) together with the Ministry of the Interior Vít Rakušan (STAN) and his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Monastyrsky. The open exposition will also be attended by the interior ministers of the EU countries, who will come to Prague for an informal meeting within the framework of the Czech presidency of the Council of the EU.

“Cord Around the World”
Ukraine plans to hold the exhibition in several European cities, with Kyiv trying to keep public attention on Russian military aggression in the country. According to Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, Ukraine wants to display destroyed Russian equipment not only in Warsaw and Prague, but also in Berlin, Paris, Madrid and Lisbon. “We will help ensure that Russian tanks are in Europe, but as wrecks,” said Reznikov on the latest Polish station Polsat News, who also accused the Kremlin of imperial politics.
First, the equipment of the Russian invasion forces, which was neutralized by the Ukrainian armed forces on its territory, was exhibited in the Polish capital. “On the one hand, we will show the horrors committed by the Russian army in Ukraine. And on the other hand, the heroic defense of the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as the consequences of these battles, i.e. the destroyed equipment,” said the head of the Polish Prime Minister’s office, Michal Dworczyk.
