It is worth driving 10 kilometers from the historic center to the northeastern edge of Prague to find yourself in the tranquility of the German estate of Ctnice. The manor house, surrounded by a well-maintained park, has five barns, a peychar, a threshing house and a barn.
In the 18th century, the Prague architect Vclav Paek gave the castle its current form in the classicized Baroque style. Since 1993, the capital has owned this complex, which is a cultural monument.
Probably the most valuable economic object of the area is a two-story building with a gable roof and a facade with only a few small rectangular windows with stone mullioned windows. The building, in a dilapidated state, was transformed into a hotel after extensive and sensitive reconstruction of the area.
Of the twenty non-standard style rooms with reconstructed original beams overhead, there is a view of the courtyard, the beautiful park or the courtyard with a balcony (you can arrange a view), for romantic couples there are suites with an open bathtub in the room. The original wall of the vault in the living room of the restaurant and reception also remained preserved.
It is no wonder that the charm of the past, Greece and the charm of the countryside breathes on you here. We can go in the full name of the real hundred bathrooms and hotel restaurants, including the outdoor terrace. In the future, we would like to add wellness to the hotel, says general editor Luk Pytloun.
A sprawling park with a newly planted fruit avenue along the Ctnick stream with bridge and lion structures. You can relax in the airy gazebo, and there is also a garden a short distance away.
South-east of the castle, in the rock massif of the fortified trench, you will find a carved room with metal vaults and glass windows cut into a central saw.
A fortified moat with a saw rampart and a bridge are valuable remains of the central fortress. In the castle, which is managed by the Museum of of the city of Prague, there are, among other things, exhibitions on the history of this city and crafts in podko.
