According to Rumen Petkov, the entry into force of the two notes may be postponed
Minutes before the Russian ultimatum to Bulgaria to cancel its decision to expel 70 diplomats expired, supporters of Russia gathered in front of the Moscow embassy.
“This is neither in the interest of Bulgaria nor in the interest of Russia,” said one of the demonstrators.
However, not everyone accepted Bulgaria’s position. “Bulgaria goes back 500 centuries, when all your famous Europe was developing – Bulgaria was under Turkish slavery. Who liberated Bulgaria from the Turks? Of course, Russia,” was a Russian citizen living in Bulgaria.

Tensions rose slightly when only a few people entered the embassy. Among them was former Interior Minister Stanishev’s cabinet and ABV leader Rumen Petkov. “This is the result of a series of insanities on our part – from the announcement of a gas station with missiles through a series of persecutions completely unfounded to the note in which there is lawlessness,” says Russia.
The demonstrators applauded Mitrofanova’s car as the ambassador traded with our Foreign Ministry. After a meeting with the resigned Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska, the Russian ambassador was provided to the ministry without comment.
