“Firefighters went through all the wagons, in which about 150 people traveled, people left the train themselves and leave on foot, some in the direction of Karlštejn, some in the direction of Prague,” said Zemanová.
According to the firefighters, five of the 150 passengers were injured in the end, according to them mainly abrasions. Pthey originally stated that no one was injured.
Rescuers treated four injuries on the spot, one passenger with a bruised cervical spine was taken to a hospital in Hořovice, said Monika Nováková, a spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian rescuers.
“At the moment, the evacuation of passengers is awaited, the traffic between Beroun and Prague is completely stopped,” said the spokesman. According to the Czech Railways website, the accident happened around 6.00, the restriction is expected to last until 14.00.
